London 19/03/13

Hat - Topshop
Jacket - Forever 21
Jumper - Topshop
Leggings - Blackmilk Clothing
Boots - Zara
Bag - Parfois

Today I went to St Paul's Cathedral and the Picasso exhibit at Somerset House in London - I loved seeing all the early works by Picasso and the beautiful architecture of the cathedral. I'm here in London for three days and then i'm going back home to Manchester, I cant wait! I love the shoes in this look from Zara, they are so glittery and glam its great - plus they aren't too uncomfortable which is always a bonus. The hat from Topshop is my new favourite accessory! I wear it pretty much everyday, it is so cute. Tomorrow I have a tour around Kings College London (you can see it in the photos), the university I am hoping to go to, it will be interesting to see everything there and potentially how my life will be like in September! What do you guys think of my outfit? Hope you like it!

My beauty regime.

Hi guys, apologies for my really, really overdue post - I've been busy at my new job! (i'll tell you all about that later).
For a very long time I have wanted to make a post that shows the products I use on my face. I have, however, only just put a successful regime into action and so far it seems to be working well. Due to the increasingly hot weather here in Dubai my skin has really started to feel the effects of the blistering sun and my unacceptable lack of water intake - but now I have managed to reduce the dryness and the redness in my cheeks and have got much more healthier looking skin, which is great.
I have really learnt these past few months the importance of drinking water to sort out your skin, and so, 1.5 litre bottle at a time, I have suppressed the dryness and the unwanted pigmentation.
Anyway, back to my regime. In the mornings and evenings I use No. 7 by Boots, 'Time Delay  Daily Brightening Cleansing Balm'. I love this cleanser, it's so soft and gentle - plus it comes with two muslin cloths to wash your face with. The product takes a while to get into because it has four steps to follow - apply balm; daub balm with hot cloth; in circular movements remove balm; and finally, with an ice cold cloth, pat face to close pores. It leaves your skin feeling silky, smooth and hydrated which is just what I need. After I cleanse my face I apply the Garnier Youthful Radiance Day Cream (or Night Cream - depending on the time of the day), a cost effective product, I know, but it does the job well, especially the thicker night cream.
After my cleanse and moisturise regime is over, it's on to the makeup. Now, I went into Paris Gallery for  a makeover by YSL and came home with their AMAZING YSL Top Secret BB cream. I love this product to death. The light tinted moisturiser with its radiant shimmer lights up your face - especially good for those tired-skin days - and provides light to medium cover. The best feature for me, as a poor user of sun cream, was the UV50 protection which is perfect for the permanent sun here in Dubai.  Plus, apparently it protects your skin from pollutants and things like that too. To set the BB cream I use MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation which adds extra coverage and reduces shine. This product is honestly amazing too - it's so smooth and light on your face, plus its great to wear without foundation or tinted moisturiser too. To finish off with, and to add some colour and definition I use L'Oreal Brunette Harmony, Glam Bronze bronzer - only a little to my cheeks and temples.
For my eyes - because I love eyeliner and the 'cat-eye' look - I use a range of cheaper products, solely because I either cant afford others because of my high daily usage of liners and mascara, plus I don't think price matters too much, to be honest. I use either L'Oreal's Super Liner in black or Maybeline Eye Studio gel liner in blackest black. The latter product gives a deep black which is great, however, if it is hot or the liner hasn't set properly, it is likely to rub or transfer onto the brow bone which is never any good. I like the L'Oreal liquid liner for the fact that after it is dry (which is a only a few seconds after application) it stays there until it's rubbed or washed off - the only downfall is that it isn't as black as the other one. For my mascara I use L'Oreal's Volume Million Lashes in Extra black which adds great volume and length.

About my new job. I am now interning at the magazine Time Out Dubai, and Time Out Style. It's exciting and it is such a great opportunity for me - I love it.
Hope you are having a great weekend, thank you for reading!
